House Manager - Noble Fool Theatricals
Noble Fool Theatricals seeks a full time House Manager
for its two venues located inside Pheasant Run Resort in St.
Charles, IL. This position is responsible for front of house
management of a 328 seat mainstage theater & 150 seat studio
theater. Duties include training & scheduling of both paid and
volunteer usher staff; coordinating monthly program content,
submission, and delivery; coordinating other functions with resort
staff; providing superior customer service to patrons; submission of
ticket & room requests from production & performance staff;
assisting Marketing with local promotional material distribution;
submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports; data entry of
audience surveys & other feedback materials. Previous experience in
house management and/or customer service preferred. Qualified
candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication
skills and the ability to lift at least 30 pounds. Salary is
competitive within the industry and includes benefits. Hours require
evenings and weekends. Position to begin training in mid-July and
begin full-time employment in August 2009.

INFORMATION ABOUT NOBLE THEATRICALS FOOL YOUTH ENSEMBLE:
Noble Fool Theatricals Youth Ensemble will allow area young people to learn
the craft of theater through the process of preparing for a live
performance.
They will be introduced to a variety of techniques including
professional choreography and music direction and be responsible for line
and
music memorization and choreography.

| Noble
Fool Theatricals Performing Arts Academy is an educational theater
company. An extremely important part of our mission is using the
dramatic arts to educate and enrich young people’s lives.
Internships are available for high school students (16+) and college
students that are pursuing careers in the performing arts.
Internships are offered in all disciplines including directing,
choreography, wardrobe, hair and makeup, technical lighting
and sound, production management, stage management, marketing and more.

Interns will work
with our professional teaching artists in all of their
assignments. Closely working with a wide range of
professionals at NFT Performing Arts Academy gives the
interns first hand knowledge of both the fulfillment
gained and sacrifices necessary when choosing a career
in the arts. This experience is geared to both empower
the interns as artists and to help them along on a
journey to decide their career path.
Interns develop leadership skills and gain direct, hands-on
experience.
This career shaping experience will identify strengths and help you plan
your future.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL INTERNSHIPS: Interns must have a serious
interest in theater, be professional, self-motivated and personable. Because we are a non-profit theatre, these

| Noble Fool Theatricals
is currently seeking Marketing and Production interns |
Marketing/PR Intern
Noble Fool Theatricals is seeking a Marketing/PR intern to
assist in raising community awareness and generating ticket
sales in Noble Fool Theatricals’ Mainstage series, Studio
performances, and NFT School of the Performing Arts. The
marketing intern works closely with the marketing manager to
develop an increased subscription audience base, create
promotions, coordinate efforts with the resort, and enhance
community outreach. The intern also assists with opening night
events, group sales, direct mail, press releases, postering,
community festivals, editing playbills, and various
administrative duties. Prospective interns must have excellent
verbal and written communication skills and should be
knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in
journalism, marketing, or graphic design is preferred. Daytime
hours are flexible with a minimum of 8 hours per week. While
there is no compensation, interns receive complimentary tickets

| NFT Performing Arts
Academy is currently seeking INTERNS for the
Youth Ensemble's FALL 2009 Production of "GREASE" |
STAGE MANAGEMENT
This intern assists the Stage Manager in all aspects of the
production process to gain knowledge about stage management in a
theatre setting. This intern will gain an understanding of the
relation of technical elements to the production process;
tracking textual changes; noting blocking; tracking props and
aiding the Stage Manager with the creation of scene breakdowns,
plots, and schedules. This intern will also be running the show
back stage, assisting with scene shifts, tracking props and
costumes and making mic changes. This internship requires a commitment for
the length of the rehearsals and
performances. Candidates with some knowledge of theatre
production preferred.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
Working closely with the Production Manager, this intern gains
knowledge of and experience in production administration. Small
projects, specific to each production, may be assigned to the
Intern. Responsibilities include general office duties, research
for props and scenery, providing rehearsal support, and a little
bit of everything production-related. Production Management
interns will often be called upon to assist in all areas of
production, including stage management, props, video,
projections, and scenery. This internship
requires a commitment for the length of the rehearsals and performances. Candidates with some knowledge of
theatre production preferred.
DIRECTING
Directing interns serve as the assistant director for a Youth
Ensemble production, participating in the creative process with
some of the theater community's most respected directors. These
interns assist at auditions, rehearsals and performances. In
addition, directing interns oversee understudy
rehearsals throughout the rehearsal process to prepare
understudies to step into a role if necessary. This internship
requires a commitment for the length of the rehearsals.
Candidates must have some acting experience.
MUSICAL DIRECTION
This
internship provides the opportunity to work with a professional
music director on a Youth Ensemble show. Interns assist at
auditions and rehearsals, playing piano, running sound and
performing various other related duties.
This internship requires a commitment for the length of the
rehearsal period.
Must be able to read sheet music and play the piano
proficiently. Experience accompanying is not necessary, but good
site reading skills are a plus.
MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS
Interns with an interest in theatre and communications have the
opportunity to work with the Marketing Manager and assist in all
aspects of Public Relations and Marketing. Duties include
communicating to the media, audiences, and the general public. Commitment
time varies. Candidates with some knowledge of theatre preferred.
CHOREOGRAPHY
This is an opportunity for students to gain meaningful work
experience by applying the knowledge and skills learned in dance
to assist in developing and teaching choreography to the Youth
Ensemble.
This internship requires a
commitment for the length of the rehearsals. Candidates with a
strong dance background and some knowledge of theatre production
preferred.
WARDROBE/HAIR/MAKEUP
Learn the methods and skills necessary to produce costumes from
project-specific time periods, and handle some piece projects
from inception to completion. This intern will attend and
assist in costume fittings and may oversee wardrobe for assigned
characters. This is a great opportunity to be trained by a
local professional in the styling and upkeep of wigs as well as
the art of stage makeup. Candidates with sewing and some
knowledge of theatre production preferred.
